Fireproof glass is a special glass product that can effectively prevent the spread of flame and smoke diffusion under certain conditions, which can protect personnel and property safety to a certain extent, and protect personnel from the fire in time.
According to the provisions of national standards, fireproof glass is divided into two categories: Class A and Class C, as follows:
Class A fireproof glass: is composed of composite glass, and meet the corresponding fire grade requirements, in the specified fire test can maintain its fire integrity and fire insulation performance of special glass. Fire integrity refers to the ability to prevent flame penetration or smoke expansion to the back fire surface in a certain period of time when one side of the fireproof glass is subjected to fire under standard fire test conditions. Fire resistance and heat insulation means that when the fire facing surface of the fireproof glass is burned by fire, the temperature of the back fire surface can be maintained at the specified value for a certain period of time, and the transmission of most of the heat of the flame can be isolated to avoid high temperature on the back fire surface.
Class A fire-proof glass is divided into 3 hours, 2 hours, 1.5 hours, 1 hour and half an hour according to fire integrity and fire insulation performance.
Class C fireproof glass: It is a special glass composed of single or composite glass, and meets the corresponding fire resistance grade requirements, and can maintain its fire integrity in the specified fire resistance test. Fire integrity refers to the ability to prevent flame penetration or smoke expansion to the back fire surface in a certain period of time when one side of the fireproof glass is subjected to fire under standard fire test conditions.
According to the standard, Class C fireproof glass is divided into 3 hours, 2 hours, 1.5 hours, 1 hour and half an hour according to the fire integrity performance.
